# Interactive Snapshots


# Interactive Snapshots

You can take a snapshot from any dashboard using the Powerpipe Dashboard UI when running [Powerpipe Server](/docs/run/server). Once the dashboard is loaded, click the `Snap` button at the top of the page.

The snapshot file will be downloaded by your browser.


To view a previously saved snapshot file, click the `Open Snap` button at the top of the page.  This will open a file chooser dialog.

Select the snapshot file and open it.  Notice that when viewing a snapshot file, the file name is displayed at the top of the dashboard.
